About Kinship & Company
The mission of Kinship & Company is to support communities and nurture relationships through thoughtfully managed weddings and events, and lovingly prepared food.
I love cooking for people and parties. That's a simplification - but it gets to the essential truth behind Kinship & Company.
It's been a bit of a journey to find my calling - but my past experiences (be it doing field botany in southern Utah, planning hang gliding races in Georgia, learning how to make wine in Northern California or working as an assistant pastry chef at a patisserie in upstate NY) have all led me to where I am today. In all of my jobs, I always seemed to find my way into planning the parties & events, and would cook for family and friends at a moments notice. In 2010, I started selling noodle bowls at a Farmers' Market in Montana, then moved the business to Ithaca, NY, started to cater & do event planning, found my way into weddings.... and over the past 8 years that little food business grew into what Kinship & Company is today.
I love working on weddings - I think it is a privilege to be a part of such an intimate, tender, and joyful day, and I am honored when couples let me into their lives to be a part of it all.
